Saturn at Opposition
October 10 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm EDT

You’re invited to the public night at Cronyn Observatory this Saturday!
Saturn is at opposition this October – the time when Earth passes between the Sun and Saturn, making the ringed planet appear at its brightest and largest in our night sky. Join us on Saturday, October 10th as Kyleshaquill Fred Velez explores Saturn and its fascinating moons, explaining what opposition means for observers and what we’ve learned about this iconic planet. 🪐
The evening kicks off with a talk in the classroom, followed by a tour of the Observatory and hands-on astronomy demos. Skies permitting, our telescopes will be ready for observing – and Saturn will be a highlight of the night. 🔭
FREE admission, no registration required! Drop by for a unique evening under the stars.
