Join us for the next Stargazing Night at Cronyn Observatory! 🔭 Skies permitting, our telescopes will be out and ready — the perfect way to spend a warm summer evening.

There’s plenty to see: tour the observatory, dig into its history, and get hands-on with our astronomy demos. We’ll kick off the night with a talk in the classroom, exploring how planets are born.

Before there are planets, there is a disk. Around young stars, swirling clouds of gas and dust slowly clump together, forming the very building blocks of planetary systems — including our own. This Saturday, July 25th, join Alice Guerras as she takes us inside protoplanetary disks: what they look like, how astronomers observe them, and what they reveal about how planets, including Earth, came to be. 🌍

Admission is FREE, and no registration is required — just drop by for a night under the stars!
