Join us on Saturday\, June 20th\, as Prof. Stan Metchev shares the story behind the balloon launch attempt at the Canadian Space Agency’s balloon base in Timmins. The goal of the experiment was to test equipment that could be used in future missions to detect Earth-like planets in our galaxy. Hear firsthand about the challenges of the mission and what lessons they’re taking forward as they work toward a future low-cost space mission \nIf the skies are clear\, we’ll have our telescopes ready for night sky observing.
